Paul has worked in documentary film, journalism, and translation in the US, China, and Taiwan for the past eight years. He’s done research, production, content consulting, translation, and film festival applications for numerous independent documentaries from China and elsewhere.

During his nine years in China, he developed an in-depth knowledge of his surroundings, traveled far and wide, lived in the countryside and first-tier cities, got a master’s in Chinese politics from Fudan University, toured with a band, and taught himself Chinese.

Besides playing jianzi (毽子) with friends, Paul’s sole objective is to help Chinese filmmakers succeed internationally.
